it led to anything. After following the river for around an hour and finally found a shady place under some leaves that didn't expose me to the sun and allowed me to have a high vantage point to see my surroundings. As I sat down to rest after being hard at work building my shelter for four hours, I heard a loud roaring. I looked up and saw a commercial plane descending from the sky, in a ball of fire. I watched the plane as it fell, and then once it hit the ground, ran over to it to check for supplies and survivors. Who I pulled out of the wreckage you would not believe. I searched the wreckage for the flight manifest and got very lucky. I pulled it out and read down the column to see if possibly my mother would be on the manifest. I read the names slowly in my mind and saw a few who interested me. I saw Leonardo DiCaprio; a world famous actor for his roles in the Titanic and The Reverend, along with The Wolf of Wall Street as well. I also saw Albert Einstein; a very famous scientist who discovered the theory of Relativity. I also saw Pope Francis on the manifest, which I thought was weird considering he was the Pope and all. Then somewhat later down the list I saw James, who I later learned is a 12 year old boy whose family was killed in the crash. After going down the list even farther, I saw the rest of the passengers who were alive from the crash. There was Mary Barra, which I was shocked by because I was pretty sure she had a private jet being the president of General Motors and all. There was Bill Walker, the governor of Alaska; and then there was Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, an actor and actress madly in love. And then there was Jake, who I guess wanted some vacation time and was flying towards Miami when the plane went down. And then there was my mom, who I thought was still at home with my father, with my little brother and our dogs. After gathering everyone who survived on the beach, I told everyone we should get to my camp and sleep for the night, after all; half of them weren't leaving with us off the island.
“But what if we are attacked by animals during the night?” asked James
“Don't worry about it,”I said, “We should be good for the night as long as we have a lookout. I`ll take first shift.”
“Dibs on second!” yelled Ashton as we approached my camp After getting everyone settled in, I slowly ascended up the tree that I had seen earlier when scouting for a place to keep watch just in case I had to stay for a night or two. After making myself comfortable against the bark of the tree, I looked down and saw something I might not be able to unsee ever. I saw a boar, around the size of a full grown Golden Retriever slowly creeping up on James. “JAMES! WATCH OUT!!!” I yelled at the top of my lungs as the boar slowly retreated back into the woods, knowing that his prey was fully aware he was there.
“Thanks Mister,” James said as we walked back to camp and sat by the fire that Jake had started while I was up in the tree. “We need food Cameron, really bad.” Said Jake as I sat down beside him and warmed up beside the fire. “I know, but no one I know of knows how to hunt besides me and you.”
“I do!
I mean it has been a while but I am pretty sure I can still track some animals.” said Governor Walker “Ok, Jake, the Governor and I will go out and track down the boar that almost killed James, everyone else stay put and make sure to not get yourselves killed.”
As the three of us walked treked our way through the woods, observing the tracks the boar had left after retreating into the woods after his failed ambush on James. “Shhhh.” Jake said as we slowly approached the edge of a ravine. I looked down and saw nothing, there was only the pale glistening of the moon on the ocean as we climbed down the vines and continued to track the boar, who we guessed had taken an alternate route down the ravine. As we reached the bottom, we noticed the boar`s tracks had just vanished, as if it had disappeared off the face of the earth.
Although, we soon realized this was not the case whatsoever. We walked around thirty yards and heard the snorting of the boar. “Guys, the boar is over there,” I said as I pointed towards a cave in the side of the ravine. “Ok guys listen up, the plan here is to have someone bait the boar out, and the other two of us ambush it from behind.” Said the Governor very confidently, as if he had done this multiple times
before.
