A Hetic Day Research Paper
Today is such a hectic day! My duties for the day prevented me from spending time with my family. The weather today is extravagant as well. It is such a shame. Waking up at dawn, I had my attendants help me dress quickly. I quickly attended to mass. Afterwards I had a quick small breakfast with family. Without another thought I rushed out my manor door. I have a meeting scheduled with the king today this morning. I must hurry. The king will be expecting my arrival very soon. I told my wife that I would be gone early and possibly also for the rest of the day until dusk. She would help fill in my duties at our manor while I'm away. Without a doubt I know nothing will go wrong with her in charge. After all she has

Ordinarily, the sun’s light captured everything in sight like a mother hugging a child and giving it warmth. From the dark oak bed, I rose because of the unpleasant bites of mosquitoes. The Civil War is always on my mind. After a most successful battle yesterday when our soldiers all left home, relief and happiness came to mind, for there was a chance that we would win. Consequently, that would explain the surge of energy running through my body after waking up. Starting off with breakfast, I walked to my kitchen, the wood underneath my feet start to creak. The closer I walked to the kitchen, the warmer and cozier the atmosphere became. My servant, Julia, prepared breakfast for me today similar to many other days, I always wonder what will breakfast will be. Fresh eggs from my brown feathered hens were soft surrounded by creamy goat cheese, and well-cooked toast was on the plate this morning. Enjoying the meal is a morning ritual,…

Most private employers do not give the day off for Veteran’s Day. Just because the government recognizes a legal holiday does not mean that private-sector employers have to follow it. Federal holidays merely dictate what the government is going to do; how the rest of the country chooses to observe the holiday is up to them. Aside from the legal aspect, SHOULD employers be closing as a sign of respect to our military and the sacrifices being made overseas? Of course, the answer to this question depends on your perspective and business. Furthermore there does not seem to be a logical rationale as to why employers often give time off for Memorial Day, but not for Veteran’s Day, it certainly seems to send the message that unless you died in…

A few minutes later, the nurse knocked on the door to announce that the first patient of the day was ready to be seen. Right now, I and my mates are in the Nova Scotia Gulf Stream. And lucky us, we have the whole day off. We have been working exceptionally hard and diligently for months and I do believe this is well due ha-ha! I am going to spend my day off laughing and talking to my ship mates. We will probably go to the bay on the port and catch a brewie. Maybe some beautiful ladies will be there that we can get to talking with. We are ALL in dire need of that, especially since me and my wife’s divorce. Speaking of my family, I think after the bar with the guys I might go ahead and write a letter. And then after that I’m going to sit on the very edge of the ship and watch the sun set because there are not too many days that pass that are as beautiful as today. Then catch a good nights rest because we don’t too many of those around here!…

I fell to the ground, as they pushed me out of the carriage. I had a desire to stand up and fight for myself, but I knew, that would only matters worse. I detest, loathe royals. When you live in a spooky, cavelike town on the border, in the poorest part of England, it's striking how notable (not in a good way) royals are. The king and queen have taken everything from the people, including me.…
