It is fascinating to look at different point of views of each philosopher about a certain topic in philosophy. The author was convincing when writing this book. Nigel Warburton avoided both long paragraphs and generalization at the same time. He used constructive language that easily helped to comprehend the main ideas of each chapter. Philosophy is a very hard topic to discuss and even educated people have problems with interpreting the ideas in the text. However, in my opinion Warburton effectively described the lives and rethinks of the famous philosophers. What I liked about this book is that it wasn’t exhausting to read and every chapter was intriguing as each philosopher had a totally different life story. However, it was hard for me to remember all the names and thoughts of the philosophers. I feel that reading more than three chapters per day would overtax me, as there are numerous things to be questioned in my mind. Therefore, I read only one chapter every night and it helped me to slowly absorb all the information at once. I truly recommend this book to people who want to find out more about who they are and why are they here in this world.
