Nya is an eleven year old who was to go every day take half the morning to go and get a container of water in the heat of Sudan. She follows her culture by going every morning to the well and get water so they could survive. And she influnces place because when it get to the dry season she has to walk farther away to get water because where she used to got the water dyed out and it took three days of a walk just to get a bucket of water for that day. But the pond wasnt as clean as our water and Nya got sick. They would have to move every 5 months to camp for closer water and then come back home. Where Nya lives there is no water and she has to walk 3 days every time she goes for 5 months until the dry season ends. But after the dry season ends she can go back home and doesn't have to walk so far for water it will just take her half the morning. However Nya also presents place as of like she goes so far for water and she is constanly moving because of the fight and low resources. Nya has only one job which is to fetch water to hydrate her family. “Nya’s family did not live by the lake all year round because of the fighting.
