Differences and similarities For years now Disney has been mostly known for their princess movies like Snow White, and Cinderella. In the Disney world they never really actually tell the villains side of the story, and how they came to be. Maleficent is one of the most recognized villains in the Disney world. In 1959 there was a movie made called Sleeping Beauty. It was about a princess who is cursed into an eternal sleep by Maleficent because of the anger Maleficent had against her family. She meets a boy in the enchanted forest called Moors. His name is David, and they only meet when they are children. Overtime they end up falling in love, but David's father does not approve thinks Maleficent is a demon. He ends up betraying her, and loses her wings since he cut them off to become king. Due to the lose of her wings, and heartbreak from her lover she is now evil. She plans to curse his daughter thinking that doing this will make her satisfied, and happy. Making him suffer is the only way she will take revenge after what he did. She stays in the enchanted forest, and guards. Maleficent soon curses his daughter Aurora, and the curse is to be activated once she is 16. Angelina Jolie (Maleficent) did an amazing job playing Maleficent she was fierce, strong, and wicked. Her makeup, and costume really brought her role to life. Sam Riley (Diaval) played as Maleficent's loyal servant, and spy did an okay job. But in my opinion he should've been more emotional, or fierce. Elle Fanning (Aurora) did a pretty good job in her role. I saw her bringing her characters emotions to life. Sharlto Copley (King David) played as Aurora's father, and Maleficent's old lover. I think he did a great job he was a protective, greedy, and envious king that I enjoyed watching. All of the actors did well, but some more than
