A Poem For Weed

Push!
The weed pushes out of the ground as it grows,
Shoving everything out of its path.
Splat!
Soil goes flying everywhere and crushes two jalapeño plants.
Crash!
The weed falls back into the ground.
The weed peers upward, only to see the sunflower standing tall and strong.

Twirl!
The sunflower dances happily in the breeze.
Soft feet fill the area as others join in.
Slice!
The weed slashes the soft feet of flowers, but there is still one remaining: the sunflower.

Push!
Four flowers are shot out of the ground as the weed grows bigger.
Twirl!
The weed is smacked back into the ground.
Jump!
The sunflower dodges a fierce swipe of spikes from the weed.
They both stare at each other.
At this moment, they both know that this war will never end.
