Intro
Attention Getter: A news from Bangkok Post (2013)- 31 years old mother was found in a terrified state at her home with a dead baby besides her. She went to a private hospital in Phaya Thai district. Staff said her insurance did not cover the birth of her baby and the service fee was at minimum of 15,000baht. She could not afford the fees and decided to go back home. She later gave birth by herself, resulting in her baby’s death (Fendrickson, 2013). This is a very shocking news to Thai society. Since when do doctors discriminate against whose lives to save?

Body1 (Problems)
In the year 2008, Thailand has come up a law for hospitals to accept all emergency patients with no excuses (Every hospitals, 2012). However, the problem still rise as hospitals do not obey the law and abandoned these patients.
Hospitals turn away patients. Excuses- “shortage of beds”, “lack of available doctors”. This lead to the next point where delay in receiving treatment creates huge impact on patients. Wait times increase a patient's’ likelihood of dying by five percent, research from Harvard Medical School (Collins, 2014). One shocking news from Thairath News (2014), 2 patients from a truck crashed were sent on an ambulance to the nearest hospital however got rejected of the reason said “it was a very busy hour and there were not enough doctors”. They then moved to another hospital, resulted in one of them need to cut off his leg. Doctor said he would not need to cut it if the man came to the hospital
