That was the introductory part of the commercial. The commercial supported its argument in the form of pathos by drawing on the audience’s sober emotions. He was faced with a lot of pressure from the angry mob however, he remained calm. This seems effective with the commercial as our emotions have to be affected either negatively or positively for us to sort refuge in a headphone. In this case, it employs sober (negative) emotions and the headphone was handy in lifting his mood.
Furthermore, the commercial employed the ethos of Colin Kaepernick as a renowned football player to lend credibility to its product. The use of a sports figure appeal in the commercial is a positive and well thought out plan. It helps to reach out to the appropriate audience for the product. In the commercial, the headphones credibility was proven by using a renowned football player to endorse the product.
Finally, the commercial appeals to logos in the form of the headphone’s ability to completely shut off outside noise. Its quality of adaptive noise cancelling was proven by his inability to hear any noise when using the headphone to listen to music despite the loud noise in the environment. This is a very convincing evidence to be used for this product. Therefore, the commercial was able to convince its audience that the headphone is effective in noise cancellation and production of quality
