A Rhetorical Analysis Of Instagram's 'Big Cell Phone'

In “Big Cell Phone”, Instagram argues that when you make something take over you then that will be the only thing on your mind is on . First, all of their eyes are black with worried expressions and this supports the claim because they aren't thinking about what their doing and it soon overcomes them. In addition, another detail is how they each have leashes around their neck and they are walking one another. Finally, the artist had a red background with black shading meaning, they could all be stuck in a place within their mind hurting themselves. Instagram, is concerned with people being controlled by social media making their everyday life more complicated and wants the audience of social media to begin changing the way they think now
in this generation. This claim is significant because most teens do look to social media for help with their lives and complicated situations their now in. Instead of looking for help towards family or friends, their first thought is social media. I do believe a change needs to happen, but at the same time that will be difficult because of this generation's new accessibility to the internet.
