In the book there were many things that you could point out that where not mentioned in the movie. In the book the character Harry was rumored to actually like other men. When watching the movie you have to pay more attention to not just the characters but also the surroundings. When you're reading a story you can just look the the text and it tells you all the details. When watching the movie in the scene when Emily goes to the pharmacy, she buys the poison and on the poison it says “for rats” on the bottle. In the book it does not state that the bottle says for rats on it. In the movie also you got to see more of a visual of Emily. The way she reacts to things and shows emotion to others is very dull. She was very keep to herself through the whole movie. Even when her father died. In the book it stated that Emily and Homer had a relationship but in the movie we saw a more intimate relationship. In the movie they started to take each others clothes off till the scene cut. Overall the movie gave more visual to the audience of what it might of been like to of been there at that
