A Short Story: Evidence Of Things Unseen
Alex distracted threaded her fingers through blonde hair as she read her emails and fine-tuned a few details for drops scheduled for the last weeks of the year. She noticed as Piper lowered her book “Evidence of Things Unseen” by Wiggins, and checked the time for the thousand time. It made Alex quietly chuckled, infinitely amused by Piper, who couldn’t be more obvious about her birthday “surprise” if she had walked around with a sign around her neck.
• Hey – Alex asked, stopping Piper from standing with glee dancing in her eyes – Where are you going?

Even if she wasn’t surprised Alex felt thrilled about being able to spend her birthday & Christmas with the only two people in the world who matter to her. Piper & her mom. And neither had been in Cancun and the Rivera Maya.. It should be fantastic.
