A Sociological Analysis Of Cinderella By Jacob And Wilhelm Grimm

When I was young, I really like to listen to the fairy tales from my mother. My mother used to tell me a lot of stories such as “Snow-white”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “Cinderella”, and” Mermaid”. My favorite fairy tale is “Cinderella” because it is interesting. Moreover, Cinderella also my favorite character. When I grownup, I read “Cinderella” which is written by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm in 1967. The story told that a girl, who named Cinderella, had to live with stepmother and two sisters after her parents died. She has to work hard every with stepmother and two sisters bullying. Thanks to the miracle help her to go the prince's party. Then, she dropped the glass slipper which is predestined affinity to help the prince see Cinderella again. Finally, they have a happy ending.
So that, Cinderella always is bullied by her mother step and two sisters which can be prevented if she leaves that house. According to James M. Henslin, “ You are in for an exciting and eye-opening experience. Sociology offers a fascinating view of social life. The sociological perspective(or imagination) opens a window onto unfamiliar worlds-and offers a fresh look at familiar ones”( James M. Henslin 2012:3). I can imagine If Cinderella leaves that house, she can get a better life. Her parents died, so she doesn't need to stay at that house to serve for her mother step and two sisters who are not parentage. When she go outside, she can meet good people and have a better life. Besides that, she can protect by other people if she tells them about her situation. For example, I think society in past and the recent also has right to protect humans. If Cinderella lived at moment, she would protect by rights and equality. Nobody can violate
