A Sunday Afternoon On The Island Of La Grande Jatte Analysis
One of Georges Seurat masterpiece is A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. This painting is very wonderful for me because it shows like my family that having a bonding on weekends. I love to be with my family and I like also spent my whole life in my dearest families. The brighter colors represents peace and happiness that only in our family can be found.
This painting represents our love to our loved ones. For me the author wanted us to feel and realize that we need to take and give some times and moments for our families, friends and also in our loved ones. Seurat's balance is carefully positioned and proportioned so that the entire work is interesting to look at. Many youth now doesn’t know their responsibilities on other

This particular painting makes part of a big collection called "The World Stage: Jamaica". In this collection, he portrays the Jamaican culture through its people. The goal of this project was to draw a connection between classic European painting and Jamaica, which he managed to do turning portraits of that time, in portraits of the people that today live in this island. For example, the painting I chose was inspired by an old painting of Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, the husband and consort of Queen Victoria. I think that the best way to understand what the artist is trying to convey is by analyzing the painting from two different perspectives.…

The color palette of the painting is diverse, while red and warm earth tones dominate the painting. The light source seems to be in front of the left section of the picture while dispersing towards the right. The use of light gives the illusions of volume. The gradation of the sky is very exaggerated. The top is a dark blue and as it reaches the middle the sky is very light. The painting has a smooth finish and is very detailed. The flowers on the bottom are very intricate as well as the patterns of the people’s garments. Each face has a distinguished and unique appearance; no two faces are…

“Sunrise” is of an everyday scene in nature with vibrant colors that appear to be mixed directly on the canvas, which are all characteristics of the Impressionism period. A critic of this type of work during the period was noted as saying this painting reminded him of wallpaper. (Impressionism, 2000)…

“A Sunday on La Grande Jatte” had a style that, once I took a closer look, surprised me somewhat. The painting seems to be made with many dots. It’s very impressive that the artist took the time and had the talent to use dots in such a way. Of course, it may have been the type of brush he used, or it is a painting technique that I do not yet know, but it certainly adds to the feel of the painting. I was also curious about the border of the painting. Rather than not have a border or having a simple border, the artist inverts the colors, making the edges much more blue, gray and purple. The objects and figures in the painting seem very solid and steady, and the lines do not blur. The people the artist painted do not seem to be very happy. They are relaxed, but none of them are smiling and very few are active. It also seems that, with a few exceptions, they are all shadowed, hiding from the sun. Although the painting is peaceful, it does not have the joy that Glackens’ “Beach Scene, New London.”…

Georges Seurat’s painting of “A Sunday on La Grande Jatte -1884'” depicts tranquilize people located on the island of La Grande Jatte. Looking closer into the background there are soldiers and regular looking people in the back with one typical guy with higher class people in the foreground. It like a unanimity between social class to enjoy a sunny day on a island. Looking closely into the painting there are tiny strokes of lines creating leaves on the ground and on the tree, but also everywhere creating texture. The overlapping creates space and every person are very different from each other creating variety.…

The artist utilized oil and multiple layers of gesso on canvas to create his three dimensional piece of art. The Dancer At Pigalle’s represents a woman who dances in the spotlight on a stage. Her dress is spinning around in a circular flow. In this work, Servini is using a futurist style of painting. I have a feeling that I am inside the stage watching this woman performing ballet dancing. The canvas is developed with layers of plaster to be able to represent the dancer’s motion and dress by projecting them out into the viewer’s land. Light and environment act concurrently on the forms of movement. The work is a colorful representation of the body and the cloth of the woman as depicted. Her dress is pink and is printed with brown hearts. Her shoes are brown. She has black hair. While the painting does not reflect the real mood of the dancer, the bright colors and the gestures that the artist used on this painting reveals the happiness of this…

The United States has a democratic government which means that the government is supposed to be ran through the people. The interesting fact about that is that the American government was created by ideas that they got from Britain's parliament (Nardo, 1994, p. 83). Since these governments are based off of each other, they do share a lot of similarities. Although Britain and the United States had comparable growth in their governments from when they started, in the end they had and still do have very different styles of democracy. The three main comparison points between the British parliament and American government are the branches of government, political offices and parties, and the style of politics. The differences between the British…
