In the scene from A wrinkle in time meg uses the tone scared. One example that the tone is scared is when she said “Nothing happened,” Meg said. “That’s the trouble.”Here the tone is scared because in the story it sound like she was scared something really bad was going to happen. Another example that the tone is scared is she said “They can’t understand plain, ordinary love when they see it. Well, go on. What happened next?”. Here the tone is scared because as you read it in your head it sound so much like she is scared. A last example that the tone is scared is when she said Again Meg leaped up, and again Calvin pulled her down. “No! They’d have told us if he were dead! There’s always a telegram or something. They always tell you!”.

There are many different types of relationships that women wish for. Some want a man that will daunt on their every need. Other girls wish to "wear the pants" in the relationship and even occasionally women want just to live in the same household and have sex but do not seek any kind of restraining vows. In Katherina's case she wishes to be insubordinate in any type of relationship she is forced into. On the other hand Pertruchio does not wish this in his wife so he puts down his foot to show Katherina who is the dominant and who is the submissive. In Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew, he uses diction and imagery to explain Katherina and Petruchio's relationship.…

Throughout the tragic novel Into the Wild, author Jon Krakauer provides an in depth analysis of the life and lonely death of Christopher McCandless. McCandless was a young man straight out of college, looking to find himself while hitchhiking alone in the bush of Alaska. Unfortunately for Chris his well anticipated venture turned fatal after a hundred some days alone in the wilderness. Jon Krakauer uses rhetorical methods for the duration of the book, which allows him to speak of Chris’s life with a sense of certainty. The reader thus trusts Krakauer’s narrative and somewhat understands why a man like Chris could head into unknown territory without a second thought. The author shows his qualification for writing about Chris by making comparisons with his own life and interviewing those close to Chris…

I chose this word because the tone of the first chapter seems rather dark. We hear stories of the hopes with which the Puritans arrived in the new world; however, these hopes quickly turned dark because the Puritans found that the first buildings they needed to create were a prison, which alludes to the sins they committed; and a cemetery, which contradicts the new life they hoped to create for themselves.…

Men of high stature and prestige with intimidating power have always been in control of many aspects in a society. While attempting to be an example of a holy Christian, they became corrupt in their actions and went against biblical law to enhance their own lives. Deputy Danforth and Reverend Hale begin their oppositions towards one another when Reverend Hale experiences an epiphany of his actions, and Danforth remains condemning innocent people. Furthermore, Gloucester redeems himself for all the mistakes he has made in the past. He prepares to commit suicide, “This world I do renounce, and in your sights shake patiently my great affliction off” (4.6.37-38). Gloucester tells us he did not feel the need to kill himself, however this hateful life of his would still wear out. Furthermore, the redemption between Lear and Cordelia states, “When thou dost ask me blessing, I'll kneel down and ask of thee forgiveness” (5.3.11-12) rather than “I am a man more sinned against than sinning” (3.2.59-60). It shows that Lear believes he can be happy in prison without his love Cordelia. He suggest all the prisoners to sing, and to support each other in this hard time. Looking at each other past…

I'm looking for a lady who's easy to talk to and one who is able to listen. Most of all, I'm looking for a kindhearted woman, someone who takes care of herself and knows what she's looking for. I like spontaneity although I must say it is not one of my strong points. It is something I admire in other at least within reason. I haven't actually meet anyone yet in person since I started dating online but I communicated with a few which didn't prevail much further and this is the only dating site I have sign on to.Nice of you to share…
