SPECIFICATION FOR BUSINESS PLAN
Business Plan (40%)
Task:
You are required to form in a group of 5 or 6 students and assume you are planning to set up a NEW BUSINESS. You may choose any business of your choice.
Prepare a business plan for your selected business. In your plan, you must discuss the positive and negative impacts of the external environments on the business (PEST and SWOT analysis). With the analysis, discuss the form of business ownership (e.g. partnership, private limited company, or public limited company) that you would choose to set up for your business and the marketing and financing strategies.
Presentation:
Students are required to conduct a 15 minutes presentation based on the above project.
GUIDELINES:
Group work (not more than 6 people in a group)
Word limit: 5,000 words
Submit a hardcopy and softcopy of the assignment. (Type-written font size 12, 1.5 spacing, Times New Roman).
References made have to be indicated using the Harvard Referencing System.

Any late assignments will receive the following penalty:
1 day – minus 20% of total mark awarded
2 days – minus 50% of total mark awarded
3 days – 0 mark for this piece of coursework
