The analysis for experiment four: Stoi 903was conducted by Me (name) and my partner (name). They analysis performed for experiment four: Stoi 903 took place at Texas State University- San Marcos in room 117 of the chemistry building. The concentrations used in the experiment were both .5 M sodium hypochlorite and sodium thiosulfate. The concentrations of the solutions found in the dumpster were calculated to be .806 M (both sodium hypochlorite and sodium thiosulfate as well). This was found by taking the 6.0% (by mass) sodium hypochlorite and multiplying it by 1 gram of solution, 1000 mL and 1 mol NaClO. This result was then divided by the result of 100g of solvent, multiplied by 1 mL of solution and 1L which equals 60g NaClO. 60g was then divided by the molar mass of NaClO (74.44) which equals .806 mol NaClO. The same can be done for sodium thiosulfate which results in the same molarity.…

According to statistics provided by Guttmacher institute, “there were approximately 1.05 million abortions in the United States in 2012 alone” (Abortion Counters 4). To many, that might be just a number and it does not necessarily mean anything, but lets just take some time to think about how tremendously that number actually is. The image of 1.05 million lifeless, innocent premature babies is horrific, and many do not realize how sick and wrong it is. That number is more than just a statistic but it is the amount of lives that were ended way to early. As someone who stands for pro-life, aborting a baby is not something that should be an option so easily for women. Women nor anybody else should have the authority to end a child’s life prematurely.…

People who choose to have abortions done, most of them probably do not know how it is done, or they just do not care due to their own selfishness and ignorance. There are different excuses that they use for having abortions. People who are pro-choice think that a person or mother has the right to do as she chooses with her own body (Being Pro-Choice). They believe that an embryo is not a human and has no rights of their own. Pro-choice campaigners argue that the surgical procedure is completely safe and harmless (Lowen). This is false. Choosing to have an abortion is putting a woman’s body at risk. A mother can have serious complications that can affect their health and their future pregnancies, if able to be pregnant again…

“Out of the 42 million abortions yearly, about 68,000 women will die of unsafe abortions and 5 million will suffer with health complications”(medreviews.com). Why would you take your baby’s life and risk yours as well? Many abortions have the mother doing actions like drinking bleach or inserting things inside her body to kill the baby. While this solves the mother’s problem, it also risks her life by causing poisoning or internal bleeding. “The main causes of death from unsafe abortions are hemorrhage, infection, sepsis, and genital trauma”(medreviews.com).…

If they make abortions illegal, plenty of women will still find ways of having these abortions. Women will begin to have “back alley” abortions once more. These kinds of abortion are done by untrained practitioners or by trying to do the abortions themselves. Those kinds of illegal abortions are done in unsanitary conditions, and cause plenty of women to have terrible side effects or possibly even die. Why would the government want to put women through this horrible experience? For this reason abortion should be kept legal, so women would not have to go to the extreme of having back alley abortions or any other kind of unsafe abortion.…

Attempts to obtain an abortion are much more difficult for minors than for their adult counterparts due in part to laws and restrictions that regulate the consent and notification of a minor's parents. Thirty-four states require some form of parental involvement in a minor's decision to have an abortion. The laws are intended to foster parent-child relationships, protect the rights of parents, and deter young women from obtaining abortions or becoming pregnant in the first place, but research casts doubt on whether the laws have their intended effect, and Supreme Court rulings allow minors some privacy rights regarding obtaining an abortion.…

Those most involved in the abortion debate are women of all ages, the government who passes the laws, and men who would take on responsibility of raising a child if abortion was outlawed. Currently the constraints to the topic of abortion are the laws passed by government and personal and religious beliefs of many people in various societies.…

I agree abortions should be legal because not all women can afford to take care of a child or give them the necessities they need. I also believe this choice should be up to women. This is the same with any medical procedure, if a person was to have a tumor while pregnant and it was life threatening, what you will choose to do save the baby or the woman. This is where abortions come in. People need not to look at this like a disease and start treating abortions like any other medical procedure.…
