Abortion Is Not Murder Research Paper
Abortion is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy by removing the fetus before it can survive outside the womb. In the United States, nearly a fifth of the female population terminate their pregnancy through abortion, with several reasons as to why. Most women choose abortion to terminate the pregnancy of their unborn child since it was unplanned. They believe they can do away with the trouble of going through the pregnancy, and eventually having to raise the child. Other women choose abortions based on rape or incest. Abortion should be illegal in the United States since a fetus is a human being, it is considered murder, and it isn't our right to choose.
First, science states that “a human being is composed of human parts (cells,

In God’s eye, human life is sacred. In Exodus 20:13 God commanded, "Thou shalt not murder". The bible does not differentiate between fetus and baby. The murder of an innocent human is wrong, even if that human has not been born yet. The federal Unborn Victims of Violence Act, was enacted “to protect unborn children from assault and murder… should be punished for intentionally killing a human being.” An abortion doctor stated he saw in an ultrasound, the baby’s mouth open in a silent scream, indicating Condic is accurate when she says, “fetuses feel pain during the abortion process” …show more content…

Ramsey is very good about relatively balancing both of these concepts in this essay about reference points for abortion. His idea that life begins at conception can be supported by scientific data that he mentions. He also discusses other points that could also be argued for the beginning of “life” and shows similar treatment by supporting with other scientific data and what could be considered public opinion. He is able to single out his preference by giving reasons the other stages may not work, but is not forceful in his standing, which allows room for interpretation and differing opinions. As people form their own views and standings it is important allow for change and know that not everyone will share a single…

At the heart of the political debate about whether the federal government should sponsor and pay for the research of embryonic stem cell is the cultural and political idea of when human life begins. This question is the most important one in the process of either banning or allowing and funding the research. It is clear that murder is against both the moral/ethical and legal code in this country and in most others. The question of whether life begins at conception; a point of view taken by pro-life activists, or whether life begins later on in the process when the egg forms a sense of…

Her article focuses on where to draw the line on when a person becomes a human being, is it right when you are conceived, or when you are born, or at a certain stage in the womb. In her article, she says that once the fetus is conceived, it is a person, and starts to grow humanlike qualities in the mother. Judith says that it would be arbitrary to choose a point in the pregnancy on when the fetus becomes a human being. She says that the fetus is a human being from the moment of conception.…

An abortion, defined by the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, is a “medical procedure used to end a pregnancy and cause the death of the fetus.” In simpler terms, anyone who has had an abortion has inhumanly murdered an innocent child. “Every single day, (abortion) kills more Americans than were killed on 9/11. Every single year, (it) kills about as many Americans as have been killed on all the battlefields in all of the wars in U.S. history combined. Abortion is a national disgrace. Overall, more than 50 million babies have…

Abortion is the termination of an unborn baby’s life, while in its mother’s womb. This could be done at different times of pregnancy, from the day after conception, to the day that the baby is expected. Whether they are the same or not is argued about by opposing stances on the subject. There are two opposite stances on abortion. These stances are pro-choice and pro-life. Pro-choice supporters think of abortion as neither good or bad, but as a choice. They believe that abortion is a useful tool to make life easier for mothers who do not want their children. The choice to have an abortion is usually based on egoism, which is doing what is best for one’s self. People who are pro-choice believe that an unborn baby is not really alive at all, and…

What is an abortion? Should abortions be legal in the United States? An abortion is the termination of a pregnancy. Today, abortion is one of the most controversial topics in the United States, some people believe abortions should be illegal, but abortions are legal nationwide. My opinion is that abortions should be illegal because an unborn baby should have a chance at life just like the two who conceived it. Abortions should be illegal because there are ways to prevent a pregnancy, it is the killing of a living human being, murder, and it’s a possibility that a woman can have complications after an abortion including psychological trauma.…

It is hard to find a single definition for the word “abortion.” Dictionary.com states that an abortion is also called voluntary abortion and it is the removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus in order to end a pregnancy. However, google states that an abortion is defined as the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first twenty-eight weeks of pregnancy. On the contrary, Merriam Webster defines an abortion as a medical procedure used to end a pregnancy and cause the death of the fetus. Just reading these definitions begin the argument of whether or not abortion should be legal and if it is “morally” right. Abortion has become a popular topic of discussion across politics and within churches. Although both sides have valid arguments, it is up to the woman carrying the child to decide whether she will keep the child or not. No government, nor religion should force someone into making a decision they weren’t fully supportive of.…

After many years, a scientist finally discovers the cure for cancer. But wait, they were never born because the mom aborted them. Abortion should be illegal because it’s taking someone’s life away. First of all, abortion is murder. Just like shooting a thirty year old man, aborting a baby is murder, because they are being killed without permission. Secondly, life begins at the moment of conception which is when the mother discovers she's pregnant. So, an unborn baby is just as much a human as a born human, and has the right to life. Lastly, if the parent(s) don’t want the child, they can give it up for adoption. Someone else would love to have their child because some people can’t reproduce. In conclusion, abortion should be illegal because…

Pro-life supporters believe “every abortion kills an innocent human being” (AbortionFacts.com). They also believe that “the 8 week+ unborn baby feels real physical pain during an abortion” (AbortionFacts.com). They feel this way, because they believe that “a mammal’s life begins when the sperm from the father unites with the egg from the mother” (Harrison). Although there is life in a fetus, a fetus is not a human. Abortion is terminating pregnancy, not a human life. According to Stuart W. G. Derbyshire, PhD, fetuses cannot feel pain during an abortion. Some pro-life supporters also believe that abortion is against the will of God, because The Sixth Commandment of the Bible’s Old Testament states that “thou shall not kill” (Exodus 20:13). Therefore, performing an abortion counts as killing, and is against the will of god. This is wrong because “religious ideology should not be a foundation for law in the United States” (ProCon.org). Although there are some negative sides of abortion, the positive sides greatly outweigh…
