Abortion: Should It Be A Woman's Choice?

Abortion; the process that women take to end a pregnancy by removing an embryo before it can survive outside of uterus. If allowed by the local law, it can be done by chemical (medical) abortion, surgical abortion, labor induction abortion, or other methods of abortion. Although abortion is a choice that is provided by the state, it can be done safely or unsafely even though they both have their risks. Abortion doesn't only affect the embryo but can also result into maternal death. The risk of maternal death due from abortion has a higher rate of death compared to maternal deaths due from live births (Life News). Although there are many other opinions to solving for an unintended pregnancy, many still depend on abortion when solving them, but more specifically, teens.

Despite laws involving teenages and abortion varying on the state, nearly about one million teenagers in America get pregnant over the year. Within these one million teen pregnancies, about 75% are unintended. Within the 75% of the unintended teen pregnancies, about 35% end it with abortion instead of bearing a child. People all across the country have gone through the process of abortion, although not everyone agrees with it. These pro choice groups believe that abortion should be a woman’s choice. Their reasons vary from women’s choice to women's health. They provide reasons such as it being a woman’s choice whether they want to go through the process of abortion or not. Also stated that making abortion illegal will not put a stop to it but rather make it less safe. Another one of their most reasoning is that women who are raped or simply victims of sexual activity should not be forced to carry out a pregnancy.
