10.) Assassination of Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln was assassinated on April 14,1865, by a man named John Wilkes Booth. President Lincoln was shot and killed while at a showing at Ford’s Theatre in Washington D.C. John Wilkes Booth(Abraham killer) was a man from Maryland and remained in the North. Himself and six conspirators originally planned a kidnapping with President Lincoln but he failed to show up. This made Mr.Booth take actions to his own hands by sneaking behind him at a play and tragically killing him. Mr.Booth’s intentions of killing him was in hope it would be an action to save the confederacy.

During these explosions 3 spectators were killed and 260 others were wounded. The suspects used two-pressure cooker bombs packed, this turned a normal sunny day into a gruesome scene. This became a huge investigation and four days after the bombing an intense manhunt shutdown the city of Boston as police captured one of the bombing suspects. The suspect was a 19 yr. old man whose name was Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. The other suspect was his older brother, 26 yr. old Tamerlan Tsarnaev was killed in a shootout with Law Enforcement. The Japanese managed to destroy 20 American Naval Vessels,including 8 enormous battle ships, and almost 200 airplanes. More than 2,000 American soldiers/sailors died in the attack and over 1,000 were wounded. The day after the attack President Franklin D. Roosevelt asked congress to declare war with Japan and this was the start of World War II for the United States. United States way of revenge was to drop atomic bombs on the Japanese cities Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August of 1945, these bombs killed over 129,000
