Topic: Abuse of power in the police force – There has to be an invisible sun that gives us hope when the whole day is done.
Introduction: Nowadays a lot of killings have taken place in various parts of the world e.g. U.S.A, U.K and many more. There have been a lot of misconduct with the police force. The reason why I picked this research, is due to the abuse of power in the police force. A lot of young people have died, because of petty incidences or racism e.g. 16 year old Donovan Jackson on the 6th July, 2002, 18 year old Juan Herrera on the 23rd December, 2004 and the most recent one the Ferguson case on the 9th august, 2014.
Research question: Is it that fair police can use strong force to protect and serve the people of our country?
Thesis: Police are supposed to be here to protect and serve the people of our country, however in some cases police abuse their power and force, which turns into police brutality.
Major areas:
1. Racism: Some deaths are due to racism. Police don’t have any right to kill or abuse their power because they don’t like certain people.

This fact makes it possible for the police officers who committed human rights violations to escape sanctions. This act will influence the police force to continue their misconduct and repeat their offences. Most cases are due to racism. The police force always try to justify themselves and say that the reason why they use excessive force, is because they think that the victim is going to attack them.
