Marketing Research 1 Kudler Fine Foods was founded in 1998 by Kathy Kudler in San Diego, CA. Since the beginning of operation of one store, the business has grown to a total of three stores. By concentrating on the market research this will help with expansion of more locations. Marketing within any business is important; this plays a vital role in the business. The importance of marketing for Kudler Fine Foods is due to the fact that this is an upscale specialty food store with a location in the metropolitan San Diego area. The store continuously stocks domestic and imported produce. Kudler Fine Foods is exploring new options, which may be offered to the customers. Market research allows for the studying of marketing changes which an organization may need to accomplish. Market research is a process of gathering, recording, and analyzing information about the market, rivals, and clients. The use of marketing can help create a long term business plan, which can help with the introduction of new products/services as well as location and income level of the area. The understanding of a market research for Kudler Fine Foods will help promote any special promotions which they may run, as well as helping to reach out to the public who may be interested. One of Kudlers Fine Foods marketing techniques is to have in-house parties which will teach the customers how to prepare specific international foods. This marketing operational goal is to help expand services as well as increase revenue. Another technique that Kudler Fine Foods used was to bring in celebrity guests and world renowned chefs.
