During the SONA of 2012 he mentioned about the cast aside the culture of wang-wang, not only in our streets, but in every sector of the society. This symbolized abuse of the authority. The action he does for it is a step in reducing the abused in the authority. He also emphasize that the government is fighting hunger and poverty, he said that hunger decreasing from 20.5% to 15.1% from May to June. He talked about that business and the economy in the Philippines are improving as evidenced by a boom in investors and new businesses. PhilHealth’s programs. He is also building an environment where progress can be felt by the majority through the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program. In terms of education for the SUC (State Universities and Colleges). They have proposed a 43.61 percent increase in their budget next year. He also stated that the unemployment rate went from
8% to 7.2% but for those people who is jobless it is still not enough. While on his SONA of 2013 his focused were on the achievements of the government on his term such as approval of the Sin Tax Reform Law and “Responsible

The economy has made jobs disappear and poverty rates increase, however this does not account for the people that are lazy or refuse to work as is the case of a large number of people who don't have a job. In many occasions people are overqualified for a regular job, but they are not qualified to do another one. This means that they possess the knowledge and experience, and are rejected for being too experienced for the job. Some other people do not have a professional license and cannot do the respective job. In many other cases people don’t work because they are sick and don't have health insurance.…

The root of many problems is that society tends to try to only fix issues that personally affect the individual. My first goal was to obtain my general Equivalency Diploma (GED) with the intentions of later attending college. It took me longer to achieve my goals, since I have had many personal obstacles in my way. At the age of 17, I became a married teenage single mother of a one month old baby. I did not have much of a family so I had to take care of my child on my own. My family was not the type to go to for help because they would take from someone leaving them helpless. Looking in the mirror one day after being knocked down for not cooking dinner, made me look into my soul through my eyes; I decided enduring a life with so much Domestic Violence that it was not for me.…

    * The state of our economy has brought many problems to our country! Our Industrial capital stock is nearly beyond repair as a result of years of underinvestment, shortages of spare parts, and poor maintenance. Large-scale military spending draws off resources needed for investment and civilian consumption. Industrial and power outputs have stagnated for years. Also aggravated chronic food shortages caused by on-going systemic problems, including a lack of arable land, collective farming practices, poor soil quality, insufficient fertilization, and persistent shortages of tractors and fuel.…

As an uncommented student I have faced a lot of academic struggle and self doubt, because of my immigration status, the limited access to resources, and the negative stigma undocumented individuals face. The self doubt came from a lack of awareness, and that led to my decision of not even attempting to attend college. That self doubt led to the doubt of others, it led to almost failing every single class, it led to depression, it almost led to suicide. Seeing all the resources my friends had access to and noticing how much those resources motivated and pushed them to strive for a college degree, it isolated me, which made me feel unwelcome. At the time the California Dream Act was enacted into law on October 8, 2011, which was probably the best day of my life. It shifted my whole view on post secondary…

A personal accomplishment that I believe sets me apart is that I graduated high school in three years instead of four. I had to complete courses in Summer School and take extra subjects instead of fun electives , but in the end it was all worth it because I was able to start learning more about subjects that pertain to my career in college classes a year early. When my peers were taking it easy I decided to push myself and take all AP or Pre-AP courses so that I could better prepare myself for the change in difficulty in coursework that I would encounter in college. I believe this also sets me apart because I was born in El Salvador and had to learn English as a second language in school. After finally mastering the language , I proceeded to…
