Operating for 36 years now, the company has consistently maintained incomparable goodwill and rapport in the market. The India Today Group continues to be the best and has steadily bagged major awards and notched up achievements over the years, some of which are: * Its news channel Aaj Tak won the Indian Telly Award for Best Hindi News Channel for the 10th consecutive year in 2010. * The Editor-in-Chief of Aaj Tak, Prabhu Chawla, won the Best News and Current Affairs Anchor Award at the Indian Telly Awards 2009. * The India Today Group publishes the Cosmopolitan magazine in India and has been featuring awards for Fun and Fearless Male and Female of the Year since 2002. * Cosmopolitan also showcases awards for the Best Bachelor of the Year. * Cosmopolitan further promoted the Practice Safe Sun campaign that fights against skin cancer * The India Today Group organizes several events like the India Today Conclave and ACUMEN, which deals with some of the major issues and businesses in the country. * The Vasant Valley School was started by the India Today Group to encourage education for all in the country.

With headlines on the cover back then such as “Physical Training at the Universities” and “The Progress of Science” while displaying images of women on the cover wearing broad hats and conservative ruffled shirts. The contest was open to school going wards of Air Force personnel in Western Air Command.The final round had 14 participants who made it to this stage through preliminary and screening rounds at their own stations. The Declamation contest began with traditional lighting of lamp ‘SAMAI’ by the Chief Guest,Lily Raha, President AFWWA (R).Aarti Singh and Dipanshi Yadav were winners of the Declamation contest in English and Hindi respectively. Aarti Singh is daughter of Sgt RK Singh from Air Force Station Halwara. The Hindi Contest winner Dipanshi Yadav is daughter of JWO DK Yadav from Air Force Station Srinagar.The other winners of the Declamation contest are Miss Shweta Sharma, Daughter of JWO Mukesh from Air Force Station Chandigarh and Smriti Rani Daughter of Sgt SK Singh of Air Force Station Sirsa were adjudged second & third in the English Declamation contest. In Hindi Declamation contest the second prize was secured by Master Utkarsh Kaushik Son of JWO Kaushik from Air Force Station Hindon whereas the third position was bagged by Miss Swati Maurya daughter of Sgt PP Maurya from Air Force Station Pathankot.Keen contest and the level of declamation received appreciation from the judges.     I and my family sat together for watching it. The concept of the show is related to the situations of ‘the common man in society’. As an Indian, I have to aware of problems of the society, I think. I love the approach of Mr. Amir Khan, who hosted this programme very systematically. When I saw his interview on the news channel Alzazeera, at that time he explained about the show and told how much difficult to understand the people who are facing horrible problems. He said that, “The show is about meeting the common man of India, connecting with people, we are not here to make a change. I am no one to change anything. I don’t think I am in the position to change anything else. I feel understanding a problem and a feeling it or holding one’s hand or hugging is important.
