Imperialism made a huge different in several ways, with philosophy, government, civics and art. The Romans culture and cavitation time lead to shape the way people live today. A few ways they did this was with stoicism important philosophy that taught Romans kinship and law and justice for all their people as today. Stoicism was very important to the romans it taught lower class as well as upper class people. Gaius Caesar had a big impact on the imperialism; he built roads, rebuilt temples, and bridges. for many years. The Romans were excellent in creating bridges, aquifers, and road. They could look at something on paper such as a lay out of forts and create cities. Their sculptures and inscriptions on triumphal arches and columns stood out with the appearance of their architectural work. Thomas Jefferson’s memorial was created by John Russell Pope when the design was completed in 1925 but congress denied it. In 1930 under Roosevelt congress approved the three million dollars to build and dedicate the memorial to Jefferson.
Roosevelt had the memorial built depicting the Romans architect.
Inside the memorial Jefferson stands in the center and is made of bronze, the walls around him made of Georgia marble and limestone which gives the interior the white color look. There are several in scriptures on the interior walls that Jefferson quoted one being “The Declaration of Independence which is on the southwest of the interior wall behind Jefferson’s left arm. Jefferson was a renaissance man who embraced freedom, independence, and equality. One of his quotes “The God who gave up life gave us liberty the same time.” His western culture, political theories and government of the people shines through the Jefferson memorial with the twenty pillars and a dome that is one hundred sixty five feet tall.
The Romans were practical people they did not use original theoretical work. Their work was copied ideas and their materials were mostly from the Greeks. Their writings, sculptures, philosophy, were borrowed ideas from the Greeks. The Romans had their own ideals also, they created and designed columns, domes, arches, etc. they used to build their houses, temples, and coliseums. Even though the Romans used some of the Greeks ideals they were still considered honorable, responsible and trustworthy people. Practically is used today as it was in the Roman era in government and in everyday life.
