In this case Justin went through couple of physical examinations and were diagnosied with Midportion Achilles Tendinopathy.
Tendinopathy refer to overuse, and when it comes with the Achilles tendinopathy it is describe the overuse condition in the Achilles region. The Achilles tendon is a strong fibers that connect the Gastronomic muscle and Soleus muscle to the back of heel on Calcaneal Tuberosity. There are two types of Achilles tendinopathy, midportion and insertional. Beside different stages of condition, which will be covered by our colleague Hamda.
Achilles tendinopathy can happen in single time or after period of time. Factors that can cause it:
- Calf and muscle weakness
- Ankle joint stiffness

- Being male
- T2D and genetics
Other factors that can make somebody more prone to this condition:
- Years of running
- Decrease recovery time in training
- Surfaces change
- Type of footwear
- Over activities
Signs and symptoms:
- Pain onset (sudden/ gradual but not noticeable/ insidious)
- Pain severity (minor / pain with activity)
- Loud snapping or bang noise at injury time
- Pain duration (days to years)
- Disability (minimal/ moderate/ sever)
- 4 to 5 cm gap after injury
- Morning stiffness that decreases after exercises
- Swelling on area
- Presence of tender nodule
