Achilles's Revenge On Hector Research Paper
Achilles wanted revenge on hector for killing his best friend. Hector with the help of Apollo killed Patroclus. Achilles loved his friend Patroclus when he found out he is dead he said " I will kill hector for killing Patroclus." He also said " seeing that my dear comrade Patroclus has fallen- he whom I valued more than all others, and loved as dearly as my own life." The death of his good friend made him angry with hector. He went to fight with out eating and Zeus felt sorry for him and he feed him nectar.“

Achilles was full of anger and sorrow for his friend Patroclus. Which fueled his revenge on hector. Achilles revenge gets stronger every time Apollo save hector.I will want revenge to if someone killed by best friend. Achilles has a reason

    He was wounded spiritually by the death of his best friend named Patroclus. The death of a close friend or relative can be worse than physical suffering; however, Achilles experienced both spiritual and physical wounds. He fought bravely during the war between the Greeks and Trojans; unfortunately, Paris killed Achilles later during the war. Along with Achilles, Hector experienced physical and spiritual pain. After Achilles killed Hector Achilles horribly disrespected Hector’s body by dragging it around behind Achilles’ chariot. At first Achilles refused to give Hector a proper burial, this is how Hector suffered spiritually.
