They are an opioid (narcotic) and are usually prescribed to control pain. Using too much of these medications can cause liver damage and/or death. Like all schedule II drugs they are highly addictive and can usually be found for sale on the streets. Unlike Adderall, Lortab and Vicodin are depressants, they can slow or stop breathing, which can ultimately lead to death. Due to the level of acetaminophen in these medication they should never be taken with other medication that contain it. This could cause serious adverse reaction.
Hydrocodone is another narcotic pain medication that is highly addictive, and illegally sold and used on the streets. Depressants like these should never be used by people who have breathing problems. Death can occur if/when alcohol is mixed with this medication.
Percocet is a mixture of acetaminophen and oxycodone. Like the drugs listed it above it is addictive, illegal without a prescription, and usually readily available on the streets. It should not be used with alcohol or other narcotics. People with liver dysfunction or a history of addiction should not take this
