Administrative Change
Administrative changes within any job whether private or public agency requires financial resources, human resources, and training dollars. Management support needed to enhance the transition of the change. This essay will review and suggest proposed administrative changes made in a criminal justice agency in an effort to combat terrorism more effectively.
Dozens of steps have been taken to stop terrorism domestically, but the risk has not been eliminated. The implementation of Homeland Security is a good place to start. Homeland Security has placed air marshals more visible in airports and on airplanes. The Bush Administration began in 2001 to prepare to expand marshal program. Some members …show more content…
By using outside sources the funding became astronomical. A large amount of overtime was paid as well as funding for outside sources. This is where training comes into play. Using personnel that have prior knowledge of science and the criminal justice system clearly would have made the task of finding the person or persons responsible for the crime easier.
Every agency needs administrative change at one point or another. Crimes from terrorist to white and blue collar crimes change and evolve rapidly. The ability to investigate and close any case that has not become cold involves administrative change.
