Police administrator(s) have a rough daily job in the law enforcement field. The job duty and functions of an administrator can be very stressful and can cause mental health issues. Throughout this assignment this researcher will discuss the major issues of being an administrator in policing and the satisfactions of being an administrator in the law enforcement field of work. In this researchers eyes, the biggest major issue within the police administrator(s) positions would be the communication skill(s). Being a police administrator, an individual has the key role of overlooking the agency. If an administrator lacks the communication, he or she will not be able to have control of the agency and have no responsibility within the agency. The role model/authority figure of the administrator will also not be there and this would cause a lack of control within the community as well. The police administrator key role is to communicate important decisions to their reporting officers and must take accountable actions for their subordinates as well. If the administrator lacks any of these important factors, their vital role within the community for protecting the citizens will not be there. He or she would not be able to set a good example for the community and the community may possibly lose interest in the administrator. Not having the respect and trust from the community, the administrator may not receive a true story from an individual within the community if a crime happened and there were witnesses and if were interviewing that witness. The witness may give false communication since there is no respect or trust between both parties. This is the biggest issue that this researcher thinks that a police administrator can have in the field of work. The satisfactions that a police administrator may have in the policing field can be outrageous and very enjoyable if handled properly and not over looked. The
