SS-Standarte 37 was his regiment, where he was in responsible for guarding the party headquarters and political speakers at rallies. But this wasn't good enough for Eichmann, by 1934 he had requested to be transferred to the Sicherheitsdienst of the SS, because he wanted to escape the military training and service. He was accepted and assigned to the sub office on Freemasons, and here he organized seized ritual objects for a museum. Another six months had passed and he caught his so called “big break.” Eichmann was invited by Leopold von Mildenstein to join his Jewish Department, Section II/112 of the SD.
