Adrian Smith
I´m Adrian Frederick Smith, best known as “Adrian Smith”, one of the three guitarists in the british heavy metal band, iron maiden. Where I usually write the lyrics, next to the bassist steve harris.
I was born on 27 February 1957, and I grew up in camedon, London. I am the youngest of three siblings, my older brother Patrick and my sister Katleen-
I gained an interest in rock music at 15. On that time, I met a friend called Dave Murray with whom I would form a band called stone free, where I was the vocalist and Murray the guitarist of the band. After that, I was inspired to take up the guitar, so I purchased an old one for £5.
My original inspiration were Jony winter and pat Travers, which have inspired me to be a “melodic player”. I have always been inspired by Blues rock, rather than metal.
When I was 16, I left school, and I formed my own band, Evil ways, and there was still with my friend Dave Murray; then, the band was renamed Urchin.
In this band, I began writing my own songs, and my band Urchin had gained fame, and we signed with a famous music industry.
Some months later, in 1979 Iron maiden offered me a place to play with them, but I turned them down. That was a decision I would later regret, because my band Urchin split up in 1980. After that, without a band, I was wondering what to do next, because I rejected Iron Maiden, fortunately, they asked me to reconsider joining them, and I accepted, so, after a successful audition, I got into the band. I have co-written many songs of the band, next to The singer bruce Dickinson, and the bassist Steve Harris.
Since that time, we have been one of the most recognized british heavy metal band of the world. Also, Dave Murray and I, combined playing dual guitars, created what all music calls “ the most formidable twin guitar attack in heavy metal”
Some years later, Iron maiden took a time off, but I, and also, for many reasons, I left the band. And I would not play guitar again for some

One of my greatest strength is my musical talent. My love for music has helped me greatly in the past; one of the instances was my solo for an opening of a concert. The rush of overwhelming joy from all the hard work and hours that I had put into practicing my solo had finally paid off. The rough and scratchy sounds of my solo, mixing with the rest of the band sounded like heaven. This solo re-ignited my love for playing guitar and really pushed me to continue what I loved to do most. My dedication of further improving my musical skill is why I am able to advise other to play guitar.…

From my early childhood, all the way until now and I am sure to the future and beyond I have been fascinated by music. I have loved to listening to, playing, singing, and writing music as well. I can vividly remember when I was very young in our family room we had a stereo and my family and I would dance and play along to music. I specifically remember The Beatles and The Eagles. I had a small plastic snare drum that I use to use until sadly I stepped on it. Both of my Uncles played music and were in a band themselves. My Uncle Ed was a drummer and my Uncle Ronnie was a guitarist and a singer. I remember going to concerts for their band a t a young age as well.…

Immediately wanting to join the band, I knew the only obstacle in my way would be convincing my parents. After all, neither one of them is musical in any way. At dinner that night, it was obvious that they were skeptical and not too keen on the idea of hearing the banging of a drum set in their home, but they ultimately gave me the chance to pursue this new-found passion. At that time, none of us could have imagined the impact that this decision would have on my life moving forward.…

Around 1984, Morello first started studying the guitar seriously. He had formed a band in the same year called the Electric Sheep which featured future Tool guitarist Adam Jones on bass. The band wrote original material that included politically charged lyrics. Post-college life was especially great. He soon moved to Los Angeles to form the band Lock Up. In 1991, however, Morello was looking to form a new band after Lock Up disbanded. Morello was impressed by Zack de la Rocha's freestyle rapping and asked him to join his band. He also drafted drummer Brad Wilk, who he knew from his band Lock Up, where Wilk unsuccessfully auditioned for a drumming spot. The band's lineup was completed when Zack convinced his childhood friend Tim Commerford to play bass. After frequenting the L.A. club circuit, Rage Against the Machine signed a record deal with Epic Records in 1992. That same year, the band released their self titled debut. They achieved a considerable amount of mainstream success and released three more studio albums. In late 2000, after Commerford's stunt at the VMA's, de la Rocha quit the band. On September 13, 2000, Rage Against the Machine performed their last concert at the Grand Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles. Although…

Brian Fallon, now 32 and frontman of The Gaslight Anthem, must have sparkled after he, as a 13-year-old American kid from Jersey, discovered one of the most influential records of the Redcoat punk scene: The Clash's self-titled debut which chartered dub, reggae, rockabilly, funk, and ska. Fallon discovered a British aesthetic that forever changed the musical landscape in the '70s. This revolutionary underground welded, nailed, and taped bits and pieces of rock and roll for the disaffected youth of the world. Forty years later, the punk rock sounds of the past are alive and well thanks to singers like Fallon. And while Fallon's New Jersey com padres, The Gaslight Anthem, aren't a combo pack of varying styles and tastes that were perfected by the Clash duo of Joe Strummer and Mick Jones, Fallon's attraction to the right music clearly honed his edges as the adept songwriter he is today. Handwritten, Gaslight's fourth full-length recording and first for Mercury Records, isn't perfect, but it is a full-on testament and continuation of punk sounds and folk ethos that Gaslight has embodied since their creation in 2005.…
