adult
Adult What is a definition for an adult? A fully developed person from a malignity owned, or when a person over twenty-one. I claim that an adult don’t have a specific definition, and I think that is nothing about age, appearance, and relationship. How to show you are an adult? Around five years ago, when I was working in a computer’s company, I felt I was an adult. Five years ago, I was working in a pretty good company, and I was working harder than other peers; in addition, I worked more than ten hours per a day. My job was ongoing, but I did not take care of myself. I did not live with my parents, so I just focused on my station and my work. People had to pay for their success, then, I lost my health because I did not eat on time; as a result, I got gastroenteritis. Even though I got sick, I did not to bother my family because I love my family deeply. Both have committed their indiscretion, as human beings are wont to do, so I had a job, and I wanted to be successful although I lose my health. Someone might think I was stupid or naïve, but I was fulfilling my life by working hard. I thought that I worked on, I was like a firework that exploded in a shower of sparks, and however, it was a short time. I felt great when I thought I like an adult on that moment, but I discovered that it was not I thoughts. My family was disappointed that as a result of the gastroenteritis, I had to stay in emergency station. I made my family upset that made myself to discover my pass. My family looked after me; whereas, my company forced to miss me by some reason. I started to treasure my family and assign some times to stay with them. After few years later, I told my family that I wanted to study in the U.S., and my father answered that I was an adult already, and I should find my own decision. When I heard that for my father, I claimed the first time I felt like an adult because my father was approved me. An adult means a lot of things for me; For instance, I got trust from my family, and I could choose my own decision and my family would support it. We are human being, so we are different between animals because the animals are simple and wild. Animals just need to survival and multiplication, but human cannot like that because we are complicate and living in the social communication group. I got approval from my father and I glory in his action.

One of the decisions I have made, and it has changed my life enormously ever since, is when I decided to move to the U.S to complete my bachelor degree. I became a different person. A person whose reasoning and rational thinking has developed and thrived rapidly everyday living in different surroundings and conditions. However, I will admit that when I made my decision, I thought, it would be nice and easy to study aboard. The idea of being responsible of everything in my life and completely free to do whatever I want without my parents watching over my head to make sure I’m doing right had not crossed my mind before that time, and that how is my life hasn’t been the same long…

Adulthood is one of those words that college students shiver at their mere mention, along with “finals week”, “textbook prices”, “we’re out of coffee” and the “we need to talk” relationship killer. Adulthood and the denomination of being an adult have been topics of discussion for many individuals of many ranging years (from pimple-faced teenagers to sternly-faced late 30 year olds) and the question of when do you become a full-fledged grown-up adult has been up in the air for some time. Tracy Moore’s article “Listen Up, Dudes: It’s Time to Own Up to the Fact That You Are an Adult” provides a pretty good idea and consensus on what it is to be an adult, and shoving them promptly in the face of some denial-driven 30 year olds. Her ideas and concepts are well organized and logical, strengthened by the depth of her discussion, as well as her use of another publication’s data and analyzing it further on.…

There are a few things that define one as an adult: maturity, responsibility, and integrity. Does Holden Caulfield have any of these? J.D. Salinger’s novel, “The Catcher in the Rye,” follows the life of Holden Caulfield, a sixteen-year-old protagonist, who is on the road to becoming an adult and is trying to find all of the three terms above. Holden is living in a world with people that he classifies as morons or phonies. The self realization that he cannot save children from becoming morons or phonies is the key to becoming an adult in Holden’s case, yet there are still symbols that Holden encounters that slowly but surely matures him, makes him responsible and helps him obtain integrity.…

Morris Kent was 16 years old when police arrested and charged him for multiple counts of burglary, robbery, and rape. The teen was already on probation in Washington D.C. for prior burglaries and theft. The prosecutor on the case wanted Kent's trial to happen in adult court. His reasons included Kent's criminal history and the serious nature of the current charges. Kent's lawyer, of course, wanted the case to stay in juvenile court. Had the judge allowed a hearing, Kent's lawyer would have argued that his client was mentally ill. He would have said this fact should be considered before determining which trial court to use. Yet the judge made the decision without holding a hearing. The adult court tried Kent and found him guilty of the charges. His sentence was 30 to 90 years in prison. In his appeal, Kent argued that the case should have stayed in juvenile court.…

Indeed, moving to United states was not easy as I expected but it was fun and exciting. I did not know before why my parents wanted me to face new experiences, but now I understand that everything they were doing and still doing for me is an expression for their love to me. I still remember the day when my mom cut my hair, I was sad, I did not know why she wanted to do that, but today I realize that it was an experience of love, she wanted to show me that I was not making right choices when I used to go out without telling her. When I got here to United States, I did not speak english and I felt as my life started over because I could not talk or do anything since the…

I am not an adult, I am a child. To be an adult you have to be fiscally responsible, and mature. I am not fiscally responsible because even though I have a small job where I make spending money, I still rely on my parents for all of my needs. I do not fully understand what it means to really save money because the money I make I just spend on wants, not needs. I have yet to do any of these things. Also as a 17 about to be 18 year old boy I am still not fully mature, I still act like a child quite often. An example of this immaturity is I still expect Christmas and birthday presents, I still expect my parents to pay for me when I am with them, and finally I still sometimes act like a little kid when I do not get what I want.…

Furthermore, after hearing that I would get to live with my parents in America, I could not imagine how happy I felt that day. In all that came a dilemma, since an under age child can not travel by himself I needed a guardian to go with me. My aunt solved the problem when she called my grandparents and told them that she would take me with her to the US. Since I did not know my aunt and had never met her before it made an awkward situation for me to go with her, but my grandparents explained, “That she does not live in India, she came from the USA to visit her family in India and now she is heading back, so she is offered to take you with her.” The following week we departed for America. At first it felt kind of hard for me to abandon the place where my life began, but i for my own welfare I got to go to America for a better lifestyle.…

For me being an adult is a compilation of various features and components and is more or less a personal achievement. There is no exact pattern of becoming an adult as every single person has their own way of improvement. But you always have to make that first step that draws the beginning of your self-improving. There are a number of abilities I believe you have to acomplish in order to even begin to get closer to being an adult.
