1. Sinha, Vinita, K S Subramanian, Sonali Bhattacharya, and Kaushik Chaudhuri. "Management : Journal of Contemporary Management Issues." THE CONTEMPORARY FRAMEWORK ON SOCIAL MEDIA ANALYTICS AS AN EMERGING TOOL, 2012: 65-84.
The authors are professors at Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development, a constituent of Symbiosis International University in India. This article examines the usage of social media analytics as an assessment tool from behavioural perspectives, HR as well as business process to collaboratively build competency framework. The article was detail as it includes experimental results, surveys and case studies to prove employability of social media analytics as an assessment tools from behavioural perspectives and organisation branding. The main limitation of this article is that it focuses more on behavioural analytics using social media which requires more empirical research. Other than the limitation, this article relates well to the research topic by highlighting the current practices of social media analytics such as selections and hiring, as well as the potential usage in achieving strategic goals of the organization such as organization branding.

2. Tulgan, Bruce. "Strategic HR Review." Finding roles for social-media tools in HR, 2007: 3.
This article explores on using social-media tools to respond to Generation Y's needs in particular, and potentially revolutionize HR practices. This article suggested nine ways in which HR can connect with the business using new social-media tools such as podcasts, wikis and blogs. Some examples of using social media include managing employees in remote locations, enabling managers to provide greater direction, supervision and faster communication. The author focuses more on generation Y as he feels that they are very familiar with using social media than the older generation. The article mentions a wide list of usage on social technologies which are not found in other articles.

    Over the past 10 years social media has become a part of our everyday live. From MySpace to Instagram just about everyone is only one degree of separation from social media. What was once just a source to stay in touch with long lost friends and family has evolved into a place for marketing, customer and product research, networking, informal learning, and real time interaction with peer’s and colleagues.
