There is a risk that workers may be overexposed to radiation. Working with patients alone poses the hazard of being exposed to illnesses and diseases. Also, the work days and shifts for radiologist can be long and demanding and some places may require working on both holidays and weekends. In addition, the competition for the best jobs in this field are high, which means most people starting off will have to work their way up with experience.
