Did you know that your body uses water to energize muscles, lubricate joints, and increase cognitive function? With the warm weather, drinking enough fluids will ensure you are able to enjoy the outdoors to the fullest. Staying hydrated will help prevent problems that range from headaches to more serious health issues such as heat stroke. To beat the heat, make sure you are well-hydrated before you go outside for a walk or do something physically active. Drink water during and after your activities too. Keeping a water bottle with you throughout the day will help encourage you to drink more water. If you will not remember to drink water, set reminders to drink water every hour. We also understand plain water can
be boring. Add a slice of lemon, lime, cucumber and/or mint to your water to give it flavoring. Remember to listen to your body and drink enough water to stay hydrated. When your body is happy, you are happy!
