adventure
"Journey to the Center of the Earth," by Jules Verne
An adventure is an exciting or unusual experience. And it may also be a bold, usually risky undertaking, with an uncertain outcome. Adventures may be activities with some potential for physical danger .

1

a : an undertaking usually involving danger and unknown risks

b : the encountering of risks

2: an exciting or remarkable experience

3: an enterprise involving financial risk
Adventurous experiences create both psychological and physiological arousal, which can be interpreted as negative (e.g. fear) or positive (e.g. flow), and which can be detrimental as stated by the Yerkes-Dodson law.
For some people, adventure becomes a major pursuit in and of itself. According to adventurer André Malraux, in his La Condition Humaine (1933), "If a man is not ready to risk his life, where is his dignity?". Similarly, Helen Keller stated that "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing."

Adventure is exciting. Imagination is important. Writing an essay about adventure stretches the imagination.

“The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences.” ( McCandless). Christopher McCandless a young man wanting to experience life to the fullest in the Alaskan wilderness without a plan. I support Cellarman's argument about McCandless is ignorant due to his lack of planning for his trip into the wilderness, but I disagree with him because I think McCandless courage nor his ideas are very inspirational.…

Second, many adventure seekers could not survive in the mundane typical nine to five world. Just like soldiers returning from “Vietnam would realize they could not go back to civilian life and would volunteer for one more stint in hell, “(Junger, 3). Adventure can become a normal way of life and a way for some to still feel alive. So, survival is another way people choose danger over safety.…

Through my own experience as an avid outdoorsman, I find that Nature has many enjoyable activities to offer. Some of my friends like to go canoeing and some enjoy swimming in lakes, I find that my favorite outdoor sports are rock climbing, fly fishing and deer hunting. It seems too often that the daily hustle and bustle of everyday work and school can leave a person stressed.
