The cost of a higher education today is ridiculous; the government expects students or students’ parents to pay an absurd amount of money so that they can get a college education and better their lives. Even though some students can afford the money it takes to pay for that higher education, many cannot. Even though most high school students apply for grants, scholarships, loans, and financial aid, ultimately the amount they receive is not enough to cover the amount needed. If anything it might cover about a eighth of the cost, maybe even less.
The cost of education in America is so extreme that students go over the border to Canada for a higher education, because it costs them less money as an exchange student then it does as a citizen going to college in the US. If more students knew about that, then it would be expected that more US students looking for a good pricing on a higher education would transfer to a college in Canada. According to U.S. News there is a college in Canada by the name of McGill, and about six percent of its student body is American students (U.S. NEWS).
