1.1 Introduction of Company
AEON CO. (M) BHD is one of a leading retailer in Malaysia besides Parkson, Tesco and etc. The Company was incorporated on 15th September 1984 where they will be celebrating for the 30th year in Malaysia. The Company was set up due to Malaysian Government’s invitation to AEON Japan to modernize the retailing industries in Malaysia. Due to the international AEON group of Companies, the ‘AEON’ name today is well known among Malaysians. AEON’s stores are catering to Malaysia middle vast income group. Most of the stores are situated in suburban residential areas.
At this moment, the AEON Group of Companies of AEON Co,. Ltd and about 200 consolidated subsidiaries and affiliated companies. The AEON group of companies is an integrated Japanese retailer which is not only active in Japan but also throughout Southeast Asia and China. Besides of retailing service, AEON also rendered property management services, credit card services and etc. However, its economy entity has only two main reportable segments which is retailing service and property management services.
At all times, in every market, AEON’s activities are guided by its unchanging ‘Customer First’ philosophy since operation. Its aim is to exceed expectations by combining quality products with excellent personal services to enhance the customer shopping experience and make everyone smile every time they shop.
