The life processes of nutrition and respiration are related to photosynthesis and Aerobic Cellular Respiration. All organisms use material from the outside environment, changing that material into a form that can then be used. Photosynthesis …show more content…
These two reactions are responsible for providing the most energy to living organisms. A chemical reaction is when different products are formed from original reactants. In Aerobic cellular respiration the reactants are glucose and oxygen, and the products of the reaction are carbon dioxide and water. The reaction for photosynthesis is the reverse reaction of aerobic cellular respiration gross reaction. The gross reaction of Aerobic cellular respiration has a reactant of water and a product of water doubled. In chemical reactions the law of conservation of mass has to be applied, this law states that mass cannot be created nor destroyed, only rearranged. So the product has to be equal to the amount on the reactant …show more content…
In the process of Aerobic Cellular respiration the locations of the reactions change throughout the stages. The process begins at glycolysis located in the cytoplasm which is inside the cell membrane and holds the cell's organelles. The Krebs cycle is located in the mitochondrial matrix, which is the folds of the Mitochondria. The mitochondria is a double membrane organelle in Eukaryotic cells responsible for the biochemical reactions releasing food molecule energy. The mitochondria is known for being the powerhouse of the cell. The mitochondria is also the location for the Electron Transport Chain, but it is located in the cristae not the matrix. The cristae is where the biochemical reactions occur while the matrix is responsible for the catalyzing the oxidation of small organic molecules. Photosynthesis occurs in Eukaryotic plant cells, which have the organelle of plastid chloroplasts. The chloroplast is the site of photosynthesis. The thylakoids are formed from the grana and this is where the photosynthetic pigments are round and the location of the light dependent reactions. The stroma is a protein containing cell part that is in the region around the Grana, here is where light independent reactions takes
