Definición del las aerolíneas de low cost
Las políticas mundiales de la liberalización del transporte aéreo dieron lugar a la aparición de una competitividad inmensa en la industria aeronáutica ,y a través del establecimiento de rutas de alta demanda, la utilización de aeropuertos segundarios, estrategias y políticas de bajo precio , servicio mínimo y alta rotación, surgieron las llamadas aerolíneas de bajo coste en EEUU con Southwest Airlines en 1971, En Europa la pionera fue la irlandesa Raynair en 1985, seguida de Easyjet en 1995 y son líneas de transporte aéreo que han conseguido la optimización de su estructura de costes así como sus políticas de confort para poder ofrecer siempre la tarifa mas económica para cada trayecto, por lo que no tienen ningún servicio adicional tal como salas VIP, vuelos en clase business y pasar otros servicios como el catering a un servicio de pago.
