ECF2731 - Managerial Economics (Summer) Exam Information Coverage: The final exam includes all topics covered in lectures and tutorials (Hirshey Chapters: 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 16). The purpose is that the student demonstrates a good understanding of the key concepts and ideas in each chapter. To perform reasonably well in the exam, it will be sufficient to read the chapter references (Hirshey 2009) for each lecture, the lecture slides as well as the topics covered in the tutorials. Format: 5 questions, 60 marks Students are asked to answer all questions. Answers may require: o The use of diagrams (graphs), formulas (equations), and simple calculations. o The use of other concepts learned. o The interpretation of the results in short- sentences. o The exam will NOT contain any essay-type questions! Duration: 2 hours (10 min reading time + 2 hours) Hurdle requirement (Need to get at least 40% in the final exam). The exam will clearly state if a diagram or an adequate formula (equation, identity) is required to answer the question. If we ask you to derive a value (X) using a graph, just indicate the position of the value on the graph. If it is not explicitly required to use a diagram (equation), but you think a diagram (equation) can help to answer, you are welcome to use a diagram (equation).

Preparation: As a matter of policy, answers to the problems and applications in the HirsheyTextbook are not provided (except for the problems and applications answered in the tutorials). Past exam papers are not provided. A sample exam is provided on the Moodle 2. Pre-exam Consultation hour; TBA- will be updated via Moodle 2.

Other Information: The final exam is NOT open book. You are NOT allowed to bring calculators. Faculty policy does NOT allow dictionaries in the exam venue.
