What is the issue?
Discrimination is intentional or unintentional bullying to a person of different race, sex, religion, etc... that causes hurt or harm to the individual. The fact that somebody speaks differently or is a different colour does not come across the same way in some as it does in others. Still do this day, there is a great amount of racial discrimination.
Who does the issue involve?
Discrimination comes in many shapes and forms. Individuals can be discriminated by anything from sex to race to age. The list goes on and on and will continue to grow. One of the biggest discrimination targets is race; Hispanic, Asian and African Americans are among the highest discriminated races.

When did this issue start?
Discrimination has always been a major issue throughout the world. Different races, religions and sexes believe others are invading their territories or beliefs. They do whatever they can to make their race look superior than the others.
For affirmative action
Affirmative action as a whole strives to make the disadvantaged races more accepted in their communities and social surroundings. Affirmative Action gives these disadvantaged races a chance at a professional job, well-taught education and happiness. Affirmative action programs give them a chance at something they may have never imagined or had a chance at achieving. The disadvantaged races now have an opportunity to realize their potential. The disadvantaged students now have a chance a better life and broadened horizons as they grow older. Affirmative action also makes it easier to adapt to multiculturalism and diversity in society.
