Against Abortion
The Slaughter of Innocence 46 million abortions are performed every year. In other words, 46 million lives are being killed before having been given a chance to live. Abortions should be made illegal throughout the world. This procedure should not be allowed because it destroys life, has consequential physical and mental problems on the women involved, and because other preferable options exist. Life begins at conception, when the male’s sperm fertilizes the female’s egg. When a woman first becomes pregnant, the pregnancy test will not show “positive” right away. By the time that it does declare her to be pregnant, the DNA of the fetus is already set for the child’s future. Its gender, natural talents, hair and eye colours are already determined. The fetus is no different than we are after birth, except for its right to live. Is there really a difference between abortion and murder? If a doctor killed a child one minute after it was born, it would be murder; but if a doctor killed a child one minute before the child was born, it would be the “mother’s choice!” The fetus can feel pain as early as the sixth week of pregnancy. There are stories that say how some aborted babies scream when they come out of the womb! It is essential that the government makes these excruciating life-taking procedures illegal.

Having an abortion can cause large amounts of physical and mental problems on the woman. Physically, having an abortion may damage a woman’s reproductive organs which will prohibit her from having children in the future. That’s ironic, isn’t it? Not only can it prevent her from having children, but it can also cause disturbances in her menstrual cycle. It can damage the uterus, bowel and bladder. In future pregnancies, one would be less likely to have a normal delivery and the baby would be more likely to be premature. In some rare cases, women have died during the procedure! Mentally, studies reveal that women who have had an abortion can have a high chance of experiencing depression, stress, low self-esteem levels and suicidal thoughts. All of this is due to Post Abortion Stress Syndrome. It is a problem that many women encounter after their abortions because of the extreme guilt that they feel. It can also cause other emotional behaviors such as eating disorders and alcohol or drug addictions. About 25% of women who have had abortions need psychiatric care. The psychological effects not only impact women, but they can impact their spouses as well. A lot of men experience post abortion stress symptoms even years after the abortion was performed. Most women don’t know all of the problems and issues that having an abortion do to them, until after it is already done.
There are so many couples who cannot have children themselves. These people would do anything to have a child. Women are aborting their babies all of the time, even though tens of thousands of people would adopt them in a heartbeat. Instead of killing the baby, they should put it up for adoption. This is a much better choice because, most importantly, it gives the child a chance to live. By giving up the baby for adoption, it is much healthier for the woman, because she knows that the baby to whom she gave birth will be in a loving family. It also prevents the woman from suffering through all of the physical problems which having an abortion causes.
Most of us think that the majority of abortions are done for reasons like rape, incest or the possibility that the child might inherit a genetic disease. The fact is that over 90% of all abortions are done for non-medical reasons, such as the woman not being ready to raise a child. None of these people should have had sex if they weren’t responsible enough to handle the consequences.
Unborn babies are being murdered because couples were too irresponsible to use a contraceptive.

Killing an unborn baby is no more justifiable than killing a forty-year-old lady or a teenage boy. They are all living things. Abortion should be illegal because every single one kills an innocent human being. It has the potential to physically and emotionally harm the woman.
There are other options that the woman can choose. Abortion should be prohibited by law because it is a murderous act. Murdering someone is illegal, and aborting an unborn baby should be as well.

Nearly all abortions take place within the first trimester of the pregnancy. Within that time, the fetus cannot exist outside of the mother’s tummy. It is attached by the umbilical cord, and therefore depends on the mother’s health for survival. If it cannot survive on its own, the fetus is technically not a person yet, and being a living person is very different from the concept of human life…

One question that is often asked is “when does life begin?” Depending on who you are, this answer will greatly differ. I will stick to the facts, in my opinion, the facts will speak for themselves. According to Keith L. Moore, writer of Essentials of Human Embryology, "Human development begins after the union of male and female gametes or germ cells during a process known as fertilization (conception).” 18 days after conception the heart begins to beat and the growing baby can suck its thumb, 40 days after conception brainwaves have been recorded, and at only eight weeks all body systems are present. Sounds like a human life to me and considering abortion is completely legal during the first trimester or first 12 weeks it also sounds like murder. It is best written in Dr. Suess’ Horton Hears a Who “A person is a person no matter how small.”…

Abortion is murder as referring to unborn babies as "fetus," "embryo," or "zygote," may be scientifically correct, but does not change the fact that these are human beings. Though called "parasite," "blob," or "tissue," give each fetus about 266 days after conception and see what emerges from his mother 's womb. A baby’s nerves are in place after 6-8 weeks after conception. The chemicals necessary to send messages over nerve pathways to the brain are present by 12 weeks.2 Abortion clinics have lied as many abortionists have admitted that abortion is murder. Former abortion clinic worker Kathy Sparks has stated that “We lied... We would say it is not a baby yet and that it is just tissue, like a clot...”3 M.D. Benjamin Kalish…
