Against Planned Parenthood
I agree with you, I am also against abortions. Yet I think that clinics such as Planned Parenthood are always labeled as abortion clinics when in reality they also help with many other reproductive issues. I have heard horrible stories about Planned Parenthood but at the same time I know of many people that got help from them in getting regular check ups and such things that could potentially save their life. I wouldn't exactly consider working for Planned Parenthood but in some ways I am not completely against it.

An evaluation plan, at a minimum should assess the following goals: 1) The program objective in measurable terms, 2) Key indicators of success, 3) Outline data collection and analysis activities and 4) A timeline to monitor the success of the program on an ongoing basis (Johnson & Crean, 2008, p. 3). When an organization assesses these minimum components, it will permit them to focus on what's important - improving services for clients, and provide accountability updates to customers, and inform key stakeholder of the organization progress, they will be successful in completing their outcomes.…

The pro-life view is characterized by “all men are created equal.” My personal view is that equal rights should be available to everyone regardless of sex, race, preference, age, etc. Throughout history there have been many conflicts of significance to women and blacks concerning the fight for equal rights; pro-life supporters say “why not babies too?” They also believe “there are no sub-humans.” Personally, I agree that there are no sub-humans. There are humans and not humans. I do not believe fetuses in a vegetative state, similar to a piece of tissue, are not humans because they are not conscious. Just because something has the potential of becoming a human in the future does not make it a human now (Planned Parenthood).…

    Planned Parenthood Summary

Planned Parenthood itself isn’t necessarily the problem, but the people that oppose it. Christian Policy Analysist, Sarah Torre, has many things to say on the issue of Planned Parenthood, although she doesn’t necessarily try to see it from a side other than hers. While reflecting upon rumors about Planned Parenthood selling tissue and body parts of unborn babies, Torre presents that government funding needs to be cut entirely from the organization. She supports her argument by making claims such as Planned Parenthood has enough money, and that there are enough other places for women to get the care and services provided there. Being the leading abortion provider in the US is the authors top reason, however, for prompting her “defund Planned Parenthood” campaign, even though abortions only make up about 3% of all services provided. She claims it is immoral for taxpayers, especially those who are against abortion, to be required to pay for an affiliation that provides the very thing they are so much against. The fact seems to be forgotten that although not everybody believes that healthcare, such as programs provided by the Affordable Care Act, are not approved or liked by everyone. Even so, everybody has to pay taxes that fund these programs, and really how is it different from taxpayers money going to Planned Parenthood? Although she is a woman, Torre seems to have forgotten the battles waged in order for women to have free reign of their own bodies, including the right to choose whether or not they should abort a baby that is unwanted. American’s in general need to realize that women should not be dictated by men, or other women for that matter, no matter where they are coming from. Opinions are not always wanted, and just because someone believes something does not make it right for them to force their beliefs onto other people. Americans need to have…

On Friday, 57 year old Robert Lewis Dear killed 3 people at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The man brought duffle bags full of weapons to the clinic such as handguns, rifles, and propane tanks and proceeded to shoot at random at the people inside and surrounding the building. Their is no explanation behind why the Planned Parenthood clinic was targeted, but Dear had told investigators “no more baby parts” after his arrest. This leads investigators to believe he was acting on an anti-abortion agenda (Coffman). A policeman and two civilians were killed in the attack, and several more people were injured. Dear was taken in before a judge over video feed from the prison on Monday. Dear was wearing a protective vest to prevent him from harming himself when he appeared in front the court. Standing along with him in the video was public defender Daniel King who was representing him. King was also on the defense team for the Colorado movie shooter James Holmes. The only time Dear talked during the appearance was to answer questions the judge provided. They only things discussed were what charges were placed upon…

Imagine that it takes a couple months instead of a couple days to get a cancer screening or the mammogram required for a certain age range. A man or woman fears that the doctor’s office will not accept their insurance and can’t pay the medical bill. A teen needs an STD test because he or she is unaware of the harms in sex. A pregnant woman needs a place to feel safe and not judged by her personal choices. Planned Parenthood gives each of these people what they need and provides the need in an efficient and timely manner. The United States Senate has been recently debating on whether or not Planned Parenthood should be funded based their issues on one subject, abortion and the research connected to abortion. Planned Parenthood should be funded by the government because it does not just provide abortions, but also other health options such as affordable disease testing, relationship development, and gender identification for women, men, and teenagers.…

For my research and message planning assignment, I chose to look further into Planned Parenthood as a non-profit organization. Planned Parenthood is an organization that has been around for over 100 years, as it was founded in October of 1916. Some of the many resources that are offered at these facilities are free or cheap access to women’s reproductive health- including papsmears, mammograms, and STD checks. Other services offered are access to abortion and contraception for all women; this is where the negative perception comes into play. It’s been a long and ongoing battle with separation of church and state, but somehow the the morality issues still play such a damaging role in the perception of what Planned Parenthood is really providing.…

When people think of reproductive health care centers their mind automatically jumps to the name Planned Parenthood. Since its founding in 1916 by Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood has amounted to a number of people rallying both for and against them. The fight for Planned Parenthood has never completely been resolved, and even now the issue of federally- funding Planned Parenthood is an issue discussed at large when deciding who to elect to represent our country for the next four to eight years. People advocating for the funding of Planned Parenthood by the federal government are doing something that is rightfully so. It should not be an issue whether or not Planned Parenthood should be funded or not. The question that asks whether it should…

“Planned Parenthood traces its origins to 1916, when Margaret Sanger, an American nurse, opened the first birth control clinic in the United States” (Mezey 515). Margaret Sanger had the idea of opening the birth control clinic because of the supposedly great increase in overpopulation. Throughout the journey of Planned Parenthood, the organization has broken numerous laws in order to get what they want. “PPFA has challenged abortion laws around the nation, and its attorneys have argued many important cases in the state and federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States” (Mezey 515). This passage shows that Planned Parenthood would and will do anything to get what they want and when they want it and any opposition will be overcome at all costs. This organization transitions from breaking laws, to being troubled as to a sudden increase in population. People began to believe the rumors and studies that there was a population overgrowth which also created an increase of abortions. “The history of concern over the uncontrolled growth of populations is as old as recorded history, but it was not until about the 1950s that fears over a rapidly expanding world population came to be combined with fertility practices on the family level” (Britannica 498). Though Planned Parenthood’s plans are extremely immoral from any point of view, they still have multiple followers and strong believers in this…

Planned Parenthood has been in the makings since 1916. The organization started out as a health clinic that offered free birth control to women. It continued to progress over the years until 1942 the organization, which was called Little Rock Birth Control Clinic at the time, changed to Planned Parenthood. The organization still goes by this name to this day. Although the organization offers much more than just free birth control to women. In fact, in recent times the organization has become the center of attention for many groups of people because of one of their most popular services; abortion. Most people see abortion as an equivalent to murder. Many people claim that if a woman did not want to have a baby she should not have participated…

Planned Parenthood is a non-profit organization founded by Margaret Sanger in 1916. Planned Parenthood began as the first birth control clinic in America (“Planned Parenthood | Official Site”). It began in Brooklyn, New York, and it was opened with Sanger, her sister, and a friend (“Planned Parenthood | Official Site”). Sanger’s original missions for Planned Parenthood were, providing contraception and other health services to women and men, funding research on birth control and educating specialists and the public about the results, and advancing access to family planning in the United States and around the world (“Planned Parenthood | Official Site”). Planned Parenthood has always seen people opposing it, from the very beginning when police raided the clinic, and Sanger, her sister and her friend were arrested, to now with Republicans and “pro-life” activists trying to defund and bring an end to the organization (“Planned Parenthood | Official Site”). Planned Parenthood is not the monster that republicans and “pro-life” activists make it out to be, contrary to what they may think…

Planned Parenthood has been in the news lately regarding controversial abortions, procedures of the tissues that result from abortions. Conservatives of the House of Representatives are trying again to stop federal assistances to Planned Parenthood. Oppositional views from both sides could lead to shutting down the government; because democrats would veemingly oppose any bill defunding the organization. This could result in Republicans loosing support in the 2016 elections, but many conservatives say that it’s a risk and fight worth taking on. However, there is a lot of criticism on why GOP decides now that they should try again to defund Planned Parenthood. They argue that the leaked videos this past summer and evaluation of negotiation and completing the new budget puts the conservatives in a spot to argue the money that is set aside for planned parenthood be given to another organization more deserving of the it.…

    Support Abortion

I don't support abortion, simply because so many people use it to avoid taking responsibility for their actions. In my opinion, if you're mature enough to be having sex, you should be mature enough to either be safe or take responsibility if a slip-up happens. I do think that abortions should be available for victims of rape or abuse, but only after they have talked to a psychologist or psychiatrist and made sure they are making the right decision.…
