Agar Research Paper
Agar.io is a addictive multiplayer action packed game developed by Matheus Valadares.

In the game you are a cell and your goal is to gain as much mass as you can by consuming both pellets and smaller cells without being swallowed by bigger enemy cells. You can either play a deathmatch where everyone is the enemy, in a party with your friends or as a colored team that must consume other colors accept for your own. While playing the game, there is no set score, players have to respawn when all of their cells are swallowed. You can launch your cell splitting into two or more and this proves useful as a ranged attack to swallow other smaller cells or to escape from a difficult situation. Players commonly use the method to quickly move around the map leaving massive cells in the dust.

On the map you will find:

Cells, Pellets and Viruses
…show more content…
Only smaller enemy cells can be swallowed, they can be swallowed if you are bigger than the smaller cells. The larger your cell is, the slower you will move around the map. The smaller the cell, the faster you will be able to move around the map.

Pellets are found randomly scattered all over the map. When they are swallowed, they slightly increase a cell’s mass. (depending on the size)

Viruses split larger cells into pieces. smaller cells can hide behind viruses for protection against larger cells, a very sneaky tactic many players use.

Agar.io is available for free on the app store for Android and Apple devices. You can also play on your PC by visitng http://agar.io/ in your web browser.

Viruses – A viruses is a small capsule that holds DNA or RNA, viruses, unlike bacteria are not self-sufficient and need a ‘host’ in order to reproduce, for example: ‘Human Body’. When a virus enters the body, it enters some certain cells and takes over making them the new ‘host cell’ which makes the parts the virus needs to reproduce, the cells are eventually destroyed through this process. The most common virus is the ‘common cold’ which has no cure.…

Pinocytosis, also known as cell drinking, is a form of endocytosis that involves the movement of a large amount of liquid into the cell.(Daempfle, 2016). Pinocytosis requires invagination in the plasma membrane of a cell to input liquids. Invagination is the process of being folded back on itself to form a pouch. Cells obtain their nutrients through pinocytosis by developing numerous invaginations to obtain nutrients from the surrounding cells.…

Viruses are small infectious particles that have nucleic acid. They can come in many different shapes and sizes. Although viruses vary in shape the common virus has four main parts, the head, DNA or RNA, tail sheath, and tail fiber. The head of a virus is a protein shell that protects the DNA inside it also known as the genome. In comparison, viruses and living organisms both are made up of smaller units that form up to make something larger. The physical appearance of a virus and living organisms are different and what a virus is made up of is different in comparison to a living organism.…
