It is also important, when there is an issue of disagreement, that there is consultation of other valid sources for professional assistance. Communication was determined to also be very important in a relationship and a signing of a release form of the client is a good idea so that a good relationship can be established. The issues become deeper when advanced competence is involved. There still may be conflict between respect and communication between both groups and that is why more knowledge on the other's worldview is needed. More psychologists are interested in religion and spirituality in present day (2003).
To sum it all up, basic competence in working with clergy is important when it entangles respect and communication with the clergy from the psychologist. It is very important for future counselors and working with the clergy to be discussed in a classroom and teaching environment to better improve the collaboration of the two.
