Air pollution makes it more difficult for us to breathe, increasing the dangers for people with asthma and respiratory problems. It is probably causing the earth to become warmer, which will affect our climate. It even pollutes the water. The major air pollutants are Carbon Dioxide, Methane and Water Vapor.…
Health problems that are caused by air pollution vary depending on the individual. The most common being respiratory problems where a person may have a difficult time breathing, much like people with asthma. Respiratory problems could very well be issues with the lungs or even disease or cancer. Another health issue could very well be allergies for an individual due to air pollution.…
Air pollution can harm animals, plants and bodies of water. There is a substantial amount of pollution that comes from man-made sources such as from factories, cars, planes and trains that have an effect on the quality of air we breathe. These conditions can reduce life spans and cause chronic respiratory issues in animals and humans. Some of the chemicals that are associated with air pollution have been known to contribute to birth defects, cancer and other damages to the human body. According to Ferrell, Fraedrich and…
The air around us is unhealthy. Over 90% of the populations breathe unhealthy air. The air is so toxic that it is most likely the cause of many health problems. The World Health Organization says there are about three million deaths per year. Most of these deaths were due to noncommunicable diseases were linked to outdoor air pollution. According to Rajasekhar Balasurbramanian, most people believe the air is clean due to the fact that we can not see the tiny particles in the air. The World History Organization say that more than eight in ten people in urban areas are breathing unhealthy air. The air quality will continue to decline. The unhealthy air did not have ozone in it. Natural, nonhuman such as dust storms also play a major roll in…
Air pollution is a significant risk factor in the world for multiple health conditions. In currently, the world is getting a lot effect from the air pollution especially the effecting of humans. Humans can get a lot effect which can affect their health to be bad because the air is the most important of human living. Everyone needs the air for their breathing. The air pollution also has direct affect to the respiratory system of humans include loss of productivities, damage ecosystem.…
Most people including my present self cannot deny the fact that naturally, it is hard not to favor your own family and friends over other people. As much as I may have sympathy towards a person who is homeless and begging me for money, I would be a lot more involved in helping them if they were, for instance, my younger brother rather than a random stranger. Throughout my life, I have always been protective of my younger brother, similar to how a parent would be towards their child. To be specific, I feel that if I were to have my own children, my overprotective and caring ways would only intensify. Considering this, although I am extremely sympathetic to all people around me my children will ultimately be my first priority.…
The first main reason for air pollution is car exhausts which lead to about 45 to 50 % of the total air pollution. It is formed due to the manufacture of unburned fuel in the form of oxides of Nitrogen and hydrocarbons. These black gases produced by unfiltered car exhaust may bring many health problems upon people such as asthma or in extreme cases, could eventually lead to difficulty in breathing. One of the hydrocarbons produced is Carbon monoxide (CO) which is one of the most dangerous gases resulting in many health problems. Also this can affect the younger society mostly by making them disable as it cause major problems to the brains.…

Air pollution affects the health of people in a major way. The presence of carbon monoxide in the air we breathe causes headache nausea and suffocation. Tuberculosis, bronchitis and asthma are common in our country due to poor air quality. Dust in air causes asthma and allergies. In winter days fogs containing particulate matter causes bronchitis and cough.…
Air pollution can cause many life threatening health problems. Many problems such as, lung cancer, asthma, and heart disease. Problems like these will be a huge burden to people, especially to kids who are still growing. These problems will threaten our lives and continue to deteriorate the human body. If air pollution isn't quickly taken care of, these health problems will increase and the human population will decrease.…
The major concern about air pollution is global warming. This is when gases like carbon dioxide, found in vehicle exhaust, get trapped in the atmosphere and cause our planet to retain more heat from the Sun than normal. Global warming endangers our health, jeopardizes our national security, and threatens other basic human needs. Some impacts, such as record high temperatures, rising seas, and severe flooding and droughts, are already increasingly common (Union of Concerned Scientists, 2014).…
Air pollution has adverse effects on almost everything. People, animals, the environment, and the economy are the main victims of air pollution.…
What makes the topic of air pollution such a sensitive one is that unlike other forms of pollution, for example water pollution, it cannot just simply be cleaned up. Measures can be put in place to minimise the volume of harmful emissions, but once out there, nothing can be done to get the quality of air back to its original state. Added to this is the fact that air pollution can have adverse short-term and long-term health effects on individuals, as well as, destroy the environment. According to the State of the Environment Report 2000........ “Most of these compounds affect human health and many target the respiratory tract. Other affected organs/ systems include the oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood, the nervous system, kidneys, cardiovascular and reproductive systems and the numerous other toxic…
Air lets our living planet breathe—it's the mixture of gases that fills the atmosphere, giving life to the plants and animals that make Earth such a vibrant place. Broadly speaking, air is almost entirely made up of two gases (78 percent nitrogen and 21 percent oxygen), with a few other gases (such as carbon dioxide and argon) present in absolutely minute quantities. We can breathe ordinary air all day long with no ill effects, so let's use that simple fact to define air pollution, something like this:…
There are two main air pollutants; one is natural causes e.g. windblown dust, pollen, fog etc. and the other is that which we call people pollution. This is the most serious form of air pollution. One of the worst air pollutants which is affecting our environment today is Carbon Monoxide, a colourless, odourless gas caused by the incomplete burning of gasoline, oil, and wood. Low concentrations can cause dizziness, fatigue and headaches, while high concentrations can be fatal. Other pollutants such as Carbon Dioxide, Nitrogen and Lead have contributed to the deteriorating environment. We are all guilty of the overuse of same and, consequently, we all contribute to the pollution levels from which we suffer.…
