Main Point #2 They boost a child’s imagination A. That being said, some of you may be thinking, “Disney princesses aren’t the best role models for young kids.” B. But, fairy tales expand our ideas of what’s possible in this world. The stories add fairies, magicians, giants, and trolls to our ordinary world, pushing our imaginations to soar. A child's imagination is a powerful and unique thing. It's not only used to make up stories and games, it's a key factor in their creative thoughts and can define the type of education, career, and life they have.
C. Scientists have found that the more stimulation a child’s brain gets around the age of 4, the more developed the parts of their brains dedicated to language and cognition will be. Visual cues are almost always present within these stories, further helping the little youngsters imagination blossom even more. Let’s look at ‘The Little Red Hen’ to help with this example. In the book it talks about how ‘delicious’ the bread will be after the Little Red Hen bakes it. Asking children what they think ‘delicious’ might mean and utilizing the picture of the animals drooling or smiling as they think of the bread is great
