Chapter 1
THE PROBLEM ITS BACKGROUND This chapter presents the issue about people who have or doesn’t have the habit of drinking alcohols and liquors even if they are young or old. Youngsters learned to drink alcohol because of the peer pressure or maybe because of what they are watching like a drama which shows a character that drinks alcohol when they are stressed because of their problems in life. Most drinkers believe that when you drink, you will forget the cause of your stress and it will erase all your problems in life. But this is not really helpful. When a person learned it, it is possible to become their hobby and may cause them to have a disease called alcoholism. This type of disease is still more common in men, but it has been increasing in women, and the female to male ratio for alcohol dependence has narrowed to one to two. When a person has stopped drinking, they will experience sleep disruptions and may lead to insomnia which most heavy drinkers experience. For them to be treated, they must have a sincere desire to seek for medical help because the process of detoxification from alcohol takes three to seven days and they may also try the rehabilitation too.
This prompted the component to conduct a study on the implication of the issue in drinking alcohol to our health status.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM This research paper aims to find out the solution to the implication of the issue in drinking alcohol to the health status of people. Specially, it seeks to answer the following questions below.
1. How do the respondents be described in terms of: 1.1 age; 1.3 health status; 1.2 genders;
2. Why do people have to drink alcohol even if it is bad for their health?
3. Why do youngsters always giving a try to drink alcohol?
4. What may be the side effects of drinking alcohol?
5. What may be the treatment for those who experience the disease called alcoholism? 3
ASSUMPTION
The proponent posted the following assumption:
1. All gathered data are valid and reliable.
2. They drink alcohol even if it is bad for their health because they are already influenced and maybe it is because they already loved to drink and they already have the disease known as alcoholism.
3. I think, they are easy to get influenced because of their age and they are easy to believe on what their friends are saying and sometimes it is because of what problem they are experiencing right now. Sometimes they are easy to get persuade in drinking because their parents have the habit of drinking and this is the cause for them to inherit it.
4. There are many side effects of drinking alcohol and these are the examples: getting dizzy, having a withdrawal syndrome, cancer, memory loss, antisocial personality disorder, and sleep disruptions.
5. There are treatments which were approved by in the United States. These are:
1. Antabuse – works as a deterrent against drinking by making the person sick if they consume any alcohol.
2. Naltrexone – blocks the affects of alcohol craving.
3. Acamprosate – relieves the distress and experience when they stop drinking.

SCOPE AND DELIMITATION
The study consist of related issues, effects and solutions about alcohol which may help the people to know about it and to be alarm of it on what will may cause to our health.
This study is delimited only for college students of New Era University, school year 2012-2013. The study will answer only those who are chosen during that time the researcher conduct this study.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY The importance of this study is to give information and precaution to the people around us who have the habit of drinking alcohol because drinking alcohol is very dangerous to our health and this may give us effects on our body.
The following are the stakeholders of the study about drinking alcohol:
For the students to be aware of what may be the effects of drinking alcohol and these effects may become warnings for them not to drink these liquors so that they can still maintain to be in their good health and condition. For the parents, they must give their children a lecture of the do’s and don’ts so that their children may live in a better way with a healthy condition and they must be the number one role model for their children because parents are sometimes their child’s number one source of their dream. For the teachers to become their students’ second parent so that they may teach them and discipline them to do the right things and these is one of their responsible. For the future researchers to search more about this study so that if there is a new effect in drinking alcohol, they will give us the information to us immediately.

DEFINITION OF TERMS This section consist of relevant terms of the study which may help us to understand more about the study on
1. Antabuse works as a deterrent against drinking by making the person sick if they consume any alcohol.
2. Naltrexone blocks the affects of alcohol craving.
3. Acamprosate relieves the distress and experience when they stop drinking.
4. Alcoholism the most common psychiatric disorders in the general population
5. Detoxification to extract poisons or toxins from the body.
