1. INTRODUCTION
This assignment will mainly focus on a supermarket business which is an organisation that has a huge part of service industry because of its provisions to the public sector.
The supermarket that has been chosen to be evaluated in this assignment is ALDI Food Stores.
ALDI Food Stores has many shops in a lot of countries, but this assignment S.W.O.T. and P.E.S.T. analysis will only focus on ALDI Food Stores in Ireland.
2. AIM
The aim of the assignment is to evaluate the internal and external environment of ALDI Food Stores.
The evaluation will include assessing a comprehensive S.W.O.T and P.E.S.T analysis of ALDI Food Stores. The S.W.O.T analysis will mainly focus on the internal forces of the business while the P.E.S.T analysis focuses on the external forces.
A conclusion will then be brought about according to the evaluation results.

HISTORY of ALDI FOOD STORES
ALDI, short for "Albrecht Discount", is a discount supermarket chain based in Germany. The chain is made up of two separate groups, ALDI Nord (North) and ALDI Süd (South), which operate independently from each other within specific market boundaries. The individual groups were originally owned and managed by brothers Karl Albrecht and Theo Albrecht. Karl has since retired and is Germany's richest man.
